So grateful that Elizabeth was in my life - from the days when, as a young Long Buckby girl, she pushed me out in a pram on Sunday afternoons during my baby years with Olive Bester - into adulthood and family life - and on into latter years (I am now 80).
Always fun, honest, friendly, generous, hospitable and, that most valued gift, wise.

So many thoughts of Mum since her passing. This weekend has been especially hard as we have been looking through old photos and choosing which ones to share. Mum was never one for having her photo taken, so it has been difficult. It also reminds me of just how much I miss my Father and how we didn't have the opportunity to pay these lovely tributes to him when he passed.

I miss our journeys on the bus into Rugby, and having a quick coffee in Kuni’s.
Nice memories of Joe and I meeting up with Elizabeth at the Thursday market in the Community Centre. Elizabeth would always have a cup of coffee and a cake.. she loved her cakes.

We had some lovely family memories of Christmas, with the old house decorated up with some really old traditional decorations, mostly from Dads family in Germany. In recent years Mum used to say to me "Its only when you have a family of your own that you will realise how much hard work Christmas is you know".....of course, she was right!
